2 Shootings on Sunday; Lovely Lane Resident is Targeted by Gunman

There was further gun violence on Sunday and police believe that the two shootings that span both south and north side Belize City are related.  It started early when Ronald Michael was shot near the corner of Calle al Mar and Baymen Avenue. The Lovely Lane resident was travelling in a vehicle with his common-law wife when a gunman emerged from a bushy lot and opened fire at them. He was hit once to his arm. Police say they are looking for the shooter who was identified by the victim.

“Police is looking for a person that Mister Michael has mentioned about the shooter.”

“So he is cooperating with police?”

“He and the other person that was along with him, police have interviewed them already.”

“Is it like a gang war or something personal?”

“Again, it is involving two of the groups from that area.”
