4 Men, including a Minor, are Arraigned for Lindon Baldwin’s Murder
Less than a week after the shooting death of Lindon Baldwin on Ebony Street, police arrested and charged four persons, including a minor, for the crime. This afternoon, Shawn Gibson was first to appear before Chief Magistrate Sharon Frazer and arraigned for murder; he was remanded to prison until July twenty-first. Shortly after, fishermen Denver Bevans of Cemetery Road and Joshua Gillett of Burrell Boom, along with a seventeen-year-old minor, were arraigned for conspiracy to commit murder. Police believe that they acted along with Gibson to kill Baldwin. In court, attorney for the trio, Herbert Panton, made submissions for bail to be granted to his clients, but the Chief Magistrate denied them their freedom and they were remanded until May twenty-eighth. Prior to their arraignment, this is what ASP Alejandro Cowo had to say.

“Sir, could you explain to us how police were able to come to those charges given the fact that three others were charged for conspiracy?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Well, thanks to the assistance of the police camera in that area that we had footage that we were able to view and identify the persons that were involved in that alleged shooting.”

“Have you all been able to determine what led to that shooting sir?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Yes. And again it is a dispute among the two members of that area there; one from the magazine Road and one from the Conch Shell [Bay] area.”
