1 Person is Detained for Robbery in the South

Meanwhile, in the south, police have detained one of three persons reportedly involved in an armed robbery. Also on Tuesday, Punta Gorda Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Cattle Landing Palace in Cattle Landing. The thieves, who wielded firearms, stole an undisclosed amount of money before firing a single shot inside the business. Luckily no one was injured and police have since been able to take into custody one of the perps.

“The proprietor of a grocery store reported to police that sometime around 8:30 p.m., three male persons dressed in black and camouflage clothing entered his business place; one of whom was armed with a shotgun, while another was armed with a handgun. They demanded money and as a result, his business was ransacked and an undisclosed amount of money was taken and before the robbers exited his business place, they fired one single shot inside the building. So far the police are following several leads and one person is detained in relation to this investigation.”
