Terrence Lopez is Arraigned for Placencia Shooting
Earlier this week, we reported on a shooting incident in Placencia in which Francis Eiley was shot in the leg during an altercation with his neighbour. Initial reports were that the two had a dispute over land and it came to a head on Monday night in the village. Today, police confirmed that Terrence Lopez has been charged for the shooting and that the motive is uncertain.
ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Police have since arrested and charged Terrence Lopez, forty-one years for the crime of grievous harm and aggravated assault with a firearm.”

“Sir in the last police report, it was stated that this incident may have occurred because of a land issue; at least that is what is being said in some quarters. But we have heard that it is not over land but a discussion about land. Can you clarify?”
ACP Joseph Myvett
“Yes, we have gotten the same information too.”
