“The Ahmadiyah Basketball League has been running for the last five years under the advice of our spiritual head who resides in the UK and by the grace of God this year we had thirty-nine teams from all over the country and we are humbled to say that this is now the biggest youth league in the country. And we had representation from PG, Dangriga, Corozal, Orange Walk and we have around five hundred youths that are part of this league and the league has now been divided in two different categories which are U-15, U-19 and U-23. It started at the end of January, every Sunday the youths were gathering at SJC to play and finally from last month or so we were having playoffs and this month, this Sunday is the finals.”
