Goldson to receive Order of Belize

Today it was announced that Belizean icon Phillip Goldson is to be honoured with the Order of Belize. Goldson has been recognised as a significant contributor to the life and times of the Belizean people, in both the public and political spectrums. The tribute is meant to commemorate the time Goldson spent fighting for Belize’s sovereignty. The award places Goldson in such company as former Mexican President Carlos Salinas, President of Cuba Fidel Castro and Ambassador of Sports for Belize Marion Jones. The order will be presented at a special ceremony on September nineteenth at the Holy Redeemer Parish Hall.
