Man at Work exhibit
Artist Terryl Godoy is the Man at Work. This week he’s working hard to make sure everyone knows about his latest exhibition called “Have This, Have That.” Godoy says he chose the theme to show people that he can do a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Most of the exhibit is made up of the street scenes Godoy is best known for. Here’s a look.
Terryl Godoy, Artist
“The scenery is the one that I love to do most. There is one piece in particular that I put the price so sky high that no one can get it, if you get it, you’re good. I meant to do that because I love that piece and many people comment about it. That’s the scenery with the canal. It’s been displayed so many times but it does move people. It shows the behaviour of Belizeans and for this time period that I live in, I want to capture as much as I can.”
Prices for Godoy’s pieces range from the low hundreds to as much as six thousand dollars. The exhibition closes at the House of Culture this Friday. Entrance to the gallery is free of cost.
