Mini-micro grant for small businesses

For all you entrepreneurs out there, listen up. The Belize Lions Club is launching a Mini-Micro Business Grant project. Don’t get turned off by the name, it might be just what you need to get your business off the ground. The club says the aim is to reduce poverty by giving Belizeans support in their trade. The grant money isn’t significant, three hundred dollars, but it does include business training and technical assistance to aid in the maintenance and possibly the expansion of the business. There are a few rules, such as a twenty percent re-investment of profits and a minimum of four hours must be devoted to the business. Examples of the small businesses the Club has in mind are food or snack salespeople, those in the yard cleaning business, car washers, shop window cleaners et cetera. For more information, please contact the Belize Lions Club Zone fifty-nine in Belize City.
