Carlos Coronado Fined and Confined for Drug Trafficking Conviction
Found guilty in absentia, Carlos Coronado has been fined ten thousand dollars and must spend three years in prison. Coronado learnt his fate while behind bars serving time for another criminal matter. On Monday, Magistrate Michelle Trapp informed the prisoner of his sentence after he was found guilty of trafficking over two and a half pounds of weed. The Dangriga resident was busted in Belize City with the drugs back on August thirteenth, 2017 and was convicted in March of this year. But he could not be found and the court later learnt that he was convicted for another unrelated crime in the south for which he was sentenced to three years imprisonment. So Coronado will now spend a total of six years behind bars.
