Garifuna Collective Kicks off 2019 Tour

The Garifuna Collective has kicked off its 2019 tour of Europe and North America ahead of the release their new album, Aban, which in Garifuna means one.  After years of hard work and dedication, as well as a dynamite showcase at WOMEX last October in Spain, the band is heading its biggest international tour in its eighteen years of existence.  The new release also marks the Garifuna Collective’s first album since 2014’s Ayo, the critically acclaimed tribute to late Garifuna musician Andy Palacio.  Here are a few highlights from the band’s tour stop in Switzerland.
