Autopsies Reveal That Victims of Triple Homicide were Shot in the Head

Alarice Andrewin & Vidal Yuman

This morning, autopsy results for the victims of a most heinous triple homicide were released to the media and the injuries sustained reveal that Alarice Andrewin, Vidal Yuman and Maria Juarez were all callously executed.  Each victim was shot in the head during what appears to be a home invasion.  On Tuesday, the Excelsior High School principal failed to report to work and her noticeable absence raised serious concerns among members of faculty.  Her lifeless body, along with two others, was discovered inside her family home on the George Price Highway.  The residence had been ransacked and stolen from the property was Andrewin’s vehicle.  News Five’s Isani Cayetano has an update on that story.

There are still no suspects in the gruesome murders of three persons, including high school principal Alarice Andrewin.  Aside from a dedicated team of investigators that has been assigned to the case, police are yet to home in on anyone believed to be involved in orchestrating and carrying out the evil plot.  The victims are nineteen-year-old Maria Juarez, thirty-nine-year-old Vidal Yuman, who also goes by the name Cacho, and the forty-four-year-old educator whose family home on the George Price Highway was the scene of the executions.

Supt. Hilberto Romero, C.I.B., Belize City

“The investigation is ongoing.  We do not have every detail as to how it was planned or executed.  At the end the investigation will determine all of that.  We are in the stage where we are conducting interviews and recording statements.”

Earlier today, the Belize Police Department released the results of autopsies conducted on the slain trio.  Andrewin, Yuman and Juarez died of gunshot wounds to the head in what can only be described as a premeditated bloodbath.  A situation report written on the day of the discovery indicates that upon their arrival the responding officers observed that the front door of the residence was ajar.  When they entered the premises, it was evident that the place had been rummaged.

Supt. Hilberto Romero

“Yes, the house was ransacked.”

The officers then made their way into each of the bedrooms.  Inside the third bedroom, they happened upon three bodies.  The remains of Andrewin and Yuman were observed on separate beds, while Juarez’s corpse was found lying on the floor nearby.  Andrewin’s hands and feet were bound with a black cloth and fastened around her body was an orange extension cord.  Likewise, Yuman’s wrists and ankles were also tied behind him with the same orange extension cord.  Despite being found on the bedroom floor, Juarez was also bound with that length of wire, her hands and feet secured with a black sock and transparent duct tape.

“Have you guys been to ascertain perhaps, how long the bodies were inside the residence before you guys were able to respond to the scene?”

Supt. Hilberto Romero

“We have not gotten the doctor’s report so we cannot tell at this time.”

A post mortem conducted on Alarice Andrewin’s body proves that she bled to death when the round or rounds fired at her ruptured the carotid artery on the left side of the neck.

The method of restraint, aside from the home being rifled, appears to be consistent with the killer or killers searching for something.  What they made off with has not been determined, aside from the fact that Andrewin’s vehicle, a 2015 Nissan Rogue was stolen from under the garage.  Police were able to recover four expended shells from the scene of the triple homicide.
