Former P.M. Esquivel out of the woods
Three weeks after Government advisor and former P.M., Manuel Esquivel was injured in a traffic mishap on the Western Highway, his medical condition is said to be improving. His daughter, City Councillor Laura Esquivel, says while the former Prime Minister remains under close monitor, he should be up and around soon.

“He’s still in the I.C.U. currently at Ryder Trauma Centre in Jacksonville Memorial. That’s mostly as a precautionary measure. From the actual surgery itself he’s recovering very well. All the bruising and swelling from the surgery and obviously from the accident is going down and his spirit is lifted again after the surgery. So we’re very hopeful.”

“When can we expect him over this and back on the job?”

“Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to get a really good estimate from the doctors as yet but we do believe that he should be able to return to the country in about a month or so.”
Esquivel’s vehicle ran off the road and flipped several times near mile thirty-one on the Western Highway on March thirtieth.
