Elrington Says Belama Land is Privately Owned Since 1991
According to Elrington, a land registry report shows that the land was privately acquired on October twenty-fourth, 1991. It was on October twenty-sixth, 2018 that the power of attorney was granted to Alex Chang.
Orson ‘OJ’ Elrington, U.D.P. Standard Bearer, Freetown
“For those who might not know in 1991 it was P.U.P. government. Not only was it a P.U.P. government but that means that this was in private hands for the past twenty-eight years. That means that in the past twenty-eight years, since the day Francis Fonseca first took office as the area representative for Freetown, this was in private hands. So any of those statements he makes about reacquiring the property, remember he was in government. He could have done all of those things in that point in time. And all of these years and my understanding is that he has not even approached the owners about purchasing or acquiring this property. So it is total and utter dishonesty and that is me being very kind. My mother said not to call people liars. So I will not call them liars. It is rude to call them liars. I will just say that he seems to be absolutely dishonest. The fact shows, the statement says that black and white no lie. See it here. This has been in private hands since 1991. It means that it spans the entirety of his- I would want to almost say reign or rule, most certainly not stewardship as the area representative for Freetown.”
