Heavy Machine Operator Charged for Handling Stolen Goods
A heavy machine operator from Belize City is out on bail tonight after he was caught using a vehicle license sticker belonging to the Belize City Council. David Tillett was arraigned this morning for handling stolen goods when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. Allegations are that on June seventh, he dishonestly assisted in the retention of a white vehicle sticker, which is the property of the council. In court, Tillett pleaded not guilty with an explanation. There was no objection to bail, by court prosecutor, Sergeant Hilberto Ruiz, and so he was granted bail of six hundred dollars, plus one surety of the same amount. Tillett is due back in court on August sixth.
