Another Alleged George Street Gang Member behind Bars

Another alleged George Street gang member is behind bars after he pleaded not guilty to the charge. He is Marvin Phillips; a resident of Belama area in Belize City. This morning, Phillips in the presence of his attorney, Leeroy Banner, appeared before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford where he was read a single charge of being a member of a gang. He was denied bail and remanded to the Belize Central Prison until August ninth. During arraignment today, his attorney told the court that neither he nor his client had been provided with the disclosure of the case, but he was soon after provided with the details. Last Friday, four other Belize City men, who police claim, are members of the George Street Gang were arraigned on the same charge.
