Saldano Renounces His Support for the U.D.P.

Shawn Saldano

While Shawn Saldano is new to COLA, he is not necessarily new to the world of politics. Saldano worked at the Youth Department and years ago he had the aspiration to run under the U.D.P. banner. That, unfortunately, did not work out and he parted with the party. Up until recently, Saldano was considering forming a third party. Today, Saldano made it quite clear that while he is no ‘P.U.P. man”, the ruling United Democratic Party does not have his support either.

Shawn Saldano, President, COLA

“What allowed me to derive here is because I have a mind of my own. I am educated. I am a critical thinker. I am an analytical human being. And I know that one plus one is not four. And I do not believe in this political mentally that my parents and family grew me into this U.D.P./P.U.P. mentality that I want to maintain that. But I want to place on record that not because I don’t see eye to eye with the Government labels me, because I have heard some aspersions that I am a P.U.P. man. That is not here or there. That is absolute myth and I want to disallow that and discontinue that. I can think. I can reason. I can be logical. I have that fundamental right of determination to say, government you are not doing what you are suppose to do. I think that is my fundamental responsibility if you are not doing what you are supposed to do.”

Reporter

“Would you say that you have renounced your support of the U.D.P.?”

Shawn Saldano

“Absolutely.”
