Sales Supervisor is Robbed at Gunpoint on Gabourel Lane, Belize City
There is little to report from the crime blotter tonight. Just after midday on Tuesday, two thieves – one armed with a gun – held up the sales supervisor from Bowen and Bowen on Gabourel Lane in Belize City. The robbers got away with about a thousand dollars in cash and other personal belonging from the driver. ASP Alejandro Cowo shares the details.

“Business sales supervisor for Bowen and Bowen, Mister Malcolm Mortis, twenty-eight years, was doing his delivery on Gabourel Lane, Belize City. While he was inside of his vehicle, he was approached by two persons of dark complexion; one of them was armed with a firearm. The person pointed the firearm at him and as a result robbed him of his cellular phone and a thousand dollars Belize currency. Thereafter the two male persons made good their escape. So far, police have not detained anyone in reference to this robbery.”

“Any surveillance cameras in the area captured the incident?”

“There are surveillance cameras in the area that police are viewing that I believe will assist during the investigation.”

“Was the victim able to give police a description of the two perpetrators?”

“That’s a part of the investigation that we are following up at the moment.”

“Is there anything to believe that maybe it was an inside job; that maybe it was a set up?”

“Up to now there is no indication that it was something that was planned by anybody who was along with the driver.”
