Tower Hill commission of inquiry begins Aug. 22nd

Another controversial event will soon be the subject of a commission of inquiry. It was announced today that the commission appointed to look into the events of July thirtieth at Tower Hill Bridge will begin hearings at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August twenty-second. Those hearing will run through Friday at the La Immaculada Credit Union Conference Centre in Orange Walk. On Monday, the twenty-seventh, the hearings will move to the Supreme Court in Belize City. The three-man commission, appointed by the Prime Minister, is headed by Justice Christopher Blackman and includes Father Lazarus Augustine and former Police Commissioner Sherman Zuniga. The hearings are open to the public and those people wishing to present evidence to the commission are asked to call Beatrice Gill at 08-23195, as soon as possible.
