Trio Supermarket Robbed by 4 Thieves on Friday Night

A supermarket in the southern community of Trio was hit by armed thieves on Friday night.  According to police, four men stormed the business and proceeded to rob the propriety of an undisclosed sum of money before escaping on stolen bicycles.  Investigators are trying to ascertain whether the incident was captured on surveillance cameras affixed to the building.

“In relation to Trio… On Friday, sometime around eight p.m., Bella Vista police responded to a robbery in Trio Village whereupon arrival the police were informed that the proprietor of Trio Supermarket that shortly before eight p.m., four Hispanic male individuals, one of whom was armed with a shotgun entered the supermarket and held him up at gunpoint where an undisclosed amount of monies was stolen and in the process of their escape they stole four bicycles belonging to customers which were parked outside of the store.  In that regard, police are following several leads and are conducting several operations in that area.”

“At this point in time we are still trying to determine whether or not the surveillance cameras were working and we are also trying to retrieve any such footage if that was the case that it was working.”
