A Celebrity/Entertainers Basketball Show Down

The international friendly match will be preceded by a celebrity basketball game also at the Belize City Civic Centre. Local radio and TV personalities as well as well-known athletes will participate in the game. Coach Roscoe Rhys who organized the event shares more details.

“We have a celebrity/entertainers game made up of radio personnel, DJs, people who are in the limelight…celebrities in Belize. So that game is going to be played first. You have DJ Bobo versus Alfrain Supal’s team. You got players like Briah Clarke, Darwin “Puppy” Leslie, Nello Player, Arana from Love FM; several DJs: Jago. So it is going to be a nice event…some females, Kayla who is also a media personality will be out there playing. So it is just something for the fans to enjoy; media personnel getting their sweat on the basketball court.”

The game starts at seven p.m. on Thursday. General admission is ten dollars and courtside seats cost twenty dollars each.
