Bryan Neal

One of those counsels is Attorney Bryan Neal, who is representing Keiron Fernandez. According to Neal, after meeting with his colleagues, it has been decided that the defense will make preliminary submissions relating to issues that could have a significant impact on the trial.

Bryan Neal, Attorney for Keiron Fernandez

“I was hoping that the night of July would have been the end of the case and now we are at the beginning but in life you have sickness and you can’t go around that in life so it is what it is.”

Hipolito Novelo

“Do you foresee any other obstacles that might prevent the trial from commencing on July ninth?”

Bryan Neal

“Well I don’t want to say too much but there are definitely now that we four attorneys have met, and Ms. Swift we intend to meet with her as well, but there will be some preliminary issues that we intend to raise on the next occasion before the trial. Beyond that I don’t want to say but that could have significant impact on the trial.”

Hipolito Novelo

“That I would imagine would be submissions in relations to the delay of the trial?”

Bryan Neal

“There can be some preliminary points raised we believe and we have discussed it. So a strong possibility that we might raise preliminary points before the trial resumes.”

Reporter

“Will those preliminary points be related to the voir dire or the trial?”

Bryan Neal

“The voir dire is separate. The preliminary points would be something that more fundamentally affects what happens in this trial.”
