Singapore police train under B.D.F.
Some of their lustre may have been tarnished by recent events, but that has not stopped the Belize Defence Force from getting on with its business. On Sunday, an eighty-eight man contingent from the Singapore Police Force arrived in the country to undergo five weeks of jungle training. The annual event, paid for by the government of Singapore, is organised by the B.D.F., which provides the jungle-training officers, logistical support and facilities for the course. Senior officers of the Singapore Force will visit Belize to evaluate the training and will meet with Minister of National Security Jorge Espat, Police Commissioner Hughington Williams and B.D.F. Commandant, General Cedric Borland.
