Mechanic dies in freak accident
A fifty-year-old mechanic of Cotton Tree Village lost his life in a freak accident shortly before noon today. Police say Clive Humes was repairing some seals under a piece of hydraulic machinery, when it appeared that he pulled a wrong lever. This caused the vehicle’s bucket to activate and it moved, crushing him to death instantly. At the time of the accident Humes was working alone at the Cotton Tree Farm Ltd. mechanic shed.
