An Update on Investigation into Quintuple Murder
ASP Alejandro Cowo today gave an update on the quintuple murder of: Ernest Wills Senior, Winston Santos, Travis Cooke, Allyson Jones and Jamar Martinez. The five men were murdered at sea between Swallow Caye and Mapp Caye and their bodies discovered between Wednesday and Saturday. It is believed that the group, who were out on a fishing trip, were killed as a result of illicit activity in the area. ASP Cowo says that more than ten persons have been detained, but were released due to insufficient evidence.

“The police have been up and down at Mapp Caye, Swallow Caye and the other cayes within that area to try to establish motive and to see if there was anyone present when this incident happened. I know they have been there about four or five times with the assistance of the coastguard and several persons have been detained, more than ten persons have been detained, and they have been questioned, but unfortunately they had to be released because of not having all the evidence to charge anyone at this moment.”
