Costa Maya kicks off August 16th

It’s that time of year again, when the island of Ambergris Caye comes alive with the sights and sounds of our neighbours on the American mainland. The tenth annual Costa Maya Festival kicks off on August sixteenth and runs through the nineteenth. One highlight of the event is the Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant to be held on the festival’s opening night. The five contestants, hailing from Belize, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador, will be publicly presented on August eighth at the Biltmore Plaza in Belize City. Most San Pedro Hotels will be offering special rates for Belizeans, but the public is asked to book early to avoid disappointment.
