Hertular brothers finally granted bail

Another aspect of the criminal justice system is the right of every defendant to a lawyer. In this case lawyer Barrow has taken up the cause of high profile drug suspects Robert and Hadrian Hertular. And today he succeeded in springing them from Hattieville.

“I applied for bail yesterday on their behalf and it was opposed by the special prosecutor Fred Lumor, but the Supreme Court in fact granted them bail. A very, very high bail in the amount of two hundred thousand dollars, but nevertheless, they have been given bail as is their right under the constitution and under our laws.”

“I’m very disappointed that yesterday judge Blackman gave bail to the Hertular brothers who have been charged with over a ton of cocaine in our country. I’m very disappointed like the Commissioner of Police and police officers that we have a number of repeat offenders who are given bail after bail after bail and then assault our citizens.”

The Hertular trial resumes in Magistrate’s Court on August first.
