“Police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where they observed Matthew Smith suffering from an apparent stab wound to the body. What police gathered so far is that Mr. Smith was at East Collet Canal when he had an argument with a man from that area over a bike. As a result, a fight ensued between both of them which resulted in him being stabbed to the left side of the arm pit. The person was detained and police have made several attempts to communicate and request the assistance of Mr. Matthew Smith who so far has not provided much information to police regarding to the incident. The suspect was detained and interviewed but because police doesn’t have an official statement the matter could not proceed. But we are still dialoguing with Smith to see if he will make a statement or not. It doesn’t mean that the case is just left just like that.”
