6-Month-Old Baby Abandoned by Belizean Parents at Guatemalan Hospital

The following story is heart-wrenching. A six-month-old beautiful baby of Belizean parents was left abandoned at a hospital in San Benito Poite, in Guatemala.  The parents, from what we gather, are Belizeans Victor Manuel Avilez and Tameka Vargas. Now, the infant was admitted at the hospital as Kyle Manuel Avilez Junior and authorities are looking for his parents.  Two weeks ago, they took the baby to the hospital with severe burns to his arms and legs and left the child hospitalized.  The doctors worked around the clock successfully to save the child’s life, but the parents have not been back to the health facility. The Human Services Department has been called in to assist with the child and authorities are attempting to locate the parents.  It is not known where they are from since they did not leave an address. But the report is that the father was smoking marijuana inside his house and caused a gas tank explosion.  This is when the child sustained the burns.  The details of their particulars are sketchy, but if you know the couple, Victor Manuel or Tameka, you are asked to please get  in touch with the department.
