Investigation Still Underway into Allyson Major’s Fatal Shooting
Last week four police officers were placed on interdiction following the fatal shooting of Allyson Major. Major was shot in the head by one of the cops during a high speed police chase that culminated at the Swing Bridge when he crashed into a bus after he was shot. The area was busy as people were heading home at the end of the work day. There has been outrage at the shooting of the former teacher and the C.E.O. of Ministry of National Security, George Lovell, found it necessary to meet with the family to ease tensions. An investigation to determine which of the officers shot and killed Major is underway. Today Superintendent Alejandro Cowo told the media that they have received parts of the report but they are awaiting another to determine who will be charged.
Supt. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Eastern Division
“Police is still conducting an investigation into this matter. On Friday we had received some reports from the forensic and we are awaiting one more piece of evidence from them so that we can compile a file and thereafter decide on charges to be laid against a person or more than one person.”

“So, do you have any timeline?”
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
“We have to wait on the forensic for them to provide us the information that we are requesting from them.”
Reporter
“And the person or persons who may be charged are police officers?”
