Teen Arraigned for Attempted Murder of Raheem Chambers
A week ago, Raheem Chambers was shot and injured during a shooting incident on Lacroix Boulevard in the Saint Martin’s de Pores area, Belize City. Today, a teenager was arraigned and slapped with three indictable criminal offenses of attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm upon Chambers. Police say Chambers was targeted before but the gun man missed and on the second attempt, Chambers was injured. He was walking on Lacroix Boulevard when a gunman approached him and fired several shots at him. In court today, Earl Baptist appeared before the Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser where he was unrepresented. Due to the nature of the offenses, he was denied bail and remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until September fifth, 2019.
