Phase One of a three-day train-the-trainers workshop being held by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Food and Agriculture Organization has concluded. The Sustainable Food Systems and Value Chain Development Project began on Monday and was facilitated by Bree Romuld of the F.A.O. The purpose of the seminar was to introduce participants to principles and processes that relate to sustainable food systems and value chain development. Funded by the F.A.O., an arm of the United Nations, the project consists of two phases and six modules. The workshop saw the participation of eighteen government and private sector institutions and focused on theory and practical exercises on various aspects of food and agriculture. Phase Two is scheduled to begin in October 2019.
