Trevor Brown Arraigned for Assaulting a Pair of Sisters

The boyfriend of a Belize City woman is out on bail tonight. Both Jayelle Young and her sister, Yasmeen, claim that Trevor Brown physically abused them.  Jayelle alleges that he beat and dragged her into a vehicle, sped off, and when her sister intervened to help, she too was injured on her left hand.  Brown appeared before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson and was read charges of aggravated assault and wounding upon Yasmeen and common assault upon Jayelle.  Brown pleaded not guilty to the charges and since there was no objection to bail, Magistrate Anderson granted him bail in the sum of one thousand five hundred dollars with conditions to stay away from the sisters. The incident happened on July eighteenth and landed Yasmeen in the hospital with various injuries.   Yasmeen says she sustained the injuries when the vehicle sped off, dragging her down the street.
