CitCo’s Super Sale Continues this Weekend

If you don’t have any plans for this weekend, the City Council wants you to check out the downtown super sale. The monthly event, organized by the City Council in conjunction with the business community, will be offering big sales with the chance to stretch your dollars. The super sale kicks off at six on Saturday morning and ends at six that evening in the downtown area. Councilor Candice Pitts tells us more about what you can expect from Saturday’s super sale.

“It is growing in popularity and we have many more stores that are now participating. To be a participant they have to offer between twenty and thirty percent discount. We have the Angelus Press back to school initiative. We have many other organizations that are participating and we have the twenty-percent discount on the summer concerts; you have Kes, Chronixx, Sizzla. We also have the kids zone where the children could be entertained as their parents are shopping. We have Blue Steel band that will be out there. Also the Belize City Council is offering the twenty-percent discount on the property tax for those in arrears but they have to pay it all off. So, that is what we are offering this Saturday.”
