Canadian appointed as coroner/investigator
The Ministry of National Security has hired a coroner investigator to strengthen the National Forensic Service. Marianne Taylor, a Canadian National, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physical anthropology from the University of Calgary and is also qualified in forensic archaeology, death and crime scene investigation and evidence handling. She has worked with the Forensic Service of Alberta and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. According to Alan Usher, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of National Security, they have been searching for someone with Taylor’s credentials who would be able to serve as an expert witness in cases that rely strongly on forensic evidence.
