Rodwell Arzu is Wanted for Murder and Attempted Murder

Investigators in Dangriga have determined that Samuel Reid, the individual who was inside the house where Geraldine Flowers resided, was stabbed and shot multiple times during the deadly encounter with Rodwell Arzu. What they have also been able to confirm is that on a previous occasion Flowers sought legal action against her ex-boyfriend for aggravated assault with a firearm and that the charge was subsequently withdrawn.

“Yesterday morning shortly before six a.m., Dangriga police were called to an area in the New Site, at the home of one Geraldine Flowers whereupon arrival police observed her to be motionless inside her bedroom. Also in the home was one Samuel Reid who at the time was unconscious. He was rushed to the Southern Regional Hospital and he appears to have had both stab wounds and gunshot injuries. The body of Geraldine Flowers appears also to have had gunshot injuries. So far, the police are seeking one suspect in connection with this investigation.”

“Is it a case of jealousy or a domestic dispute?”

“What I can say is that so far we have been unable to confirm those facts, other than to say that yes, that gentleman is a suspect. But until we gather the evidence to prove that he is a suspect then I will not go further into the case to say whether or not he was the one, in the absence of any evidence supporting that.”

“The gentleman who survived, his name is Samuel Reid. Mr. Samuel Reid, what is his condition?”

“He is in a stable condition.”

“Has he been able to provide the police with any useful information?”

“At this point in time, because he was sedated and back and forth, the police have not been able to full ascertain the information we want from him.”

“Yes, she has made several reports against her ex-common law husband and charges were preferred but I am also aware that she had gone and withdrew some of those charges.”
