Orange Walk Man Dies in Hummingbird Highway RTA
Police are also provided details of another fatality which occurred last Thursday on the Hummingbird Highway. It led to the death of Adar Awe. Awe was travelling with Dario Melendez in a white Ford Escape when about seven-fifteen p.m. Melendez lost control of the vehicle causing it to flip several times. Awe received severe head and body injuries and died on the scene while Melendez sustained minor injuries. Head of the National Crimes Investigation Branch, A.C.P. Joseph Myvett shared details.

“Police were called to an area near the Hershey farm on the Hummingbird Highway where they observed a Ford Escape extensively damage. Outside the Ford Escape, they observed a male Hispanic person identified as Adar Awe, forty-one-year-old salesman of an Orange Walk Town address. They were also led to the Western Regional Hospital where they observe one Dario Melendez who is believed to have been accompanying Awe, being treated at the Western Regional Hospital for varying degree of injuries.”

Both men are from the Orange Walk District and were returning home from Punta Gorda.
