Robbers strike twice in Cayo
A series of weekend robberies in the Cayo District have left gun toting robbers over two thousand, four hundred dollars richer. On Saturday, three men in camouflage uniforms and armed with a rifle and handgun stopped thirty-seven year old Alejandro Chan of Paslow Falls along with his wife and four children, en route to Santa Rosa Village. The family was ordered out of their vehicle and then robbed of three hundred dollars. On that same afternoon Amenia Smith, a domestic of Benque Viejo was also robbed while travelling along the Western Highway. Her assailants, two men also dressed in army fatigues, ordered her to drive up a hill where she was relieved of belongings worth over two thousand dollars.
