Video presentation looks at Guatemalan claim

One issue that has been put above party politics is the Guatemalan claim to Belize. With the recent OAS sponsored negotiating process about to culminate later this month in Washington, D.C., the Belize government continues with its campaign to educate the public on the issue. The latest effort by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Advisory Council debuts tonight in the form of a video presentation which attempts to answer those questions most frequently asked about the claim. The twenty minute documentary airs here on Channel 5 immediately following this evening’s newscast and will be repeated tomorrow at the same time. The facilitators will deliver their recommendations to the Belize and Guatemala delegations on July seventeenth and eighteenth at the OAS in Washington.
