Two more suspects arrested in bank heist
Police may be still looking for the Partridge Street jackers, but today they announced the landing of two much bigger fish. Twenty-six year old Joe Miralda of Red Creek and twenty-nine year old Efrain Cruz of Santa Elena, Cayo were arrested and charged with burglary and conspiracy in the daring break in at the Belize Bank in San Ignacio over the ninth of March weekend. Over two hundred and seventy thousand dollars were taken in the heist in which thieves bored through the floor of the vault from a storm drain which runs under the building. A number of other suspects had previously been arrested.
