Another day, another counterfeit hundred
These days it seems that as sure as the sun rises, a counterfeit hundred dollar bill will turn up in somebody’s cash register. The latest sighting of bogus bank notes took place on Thursday night with a Peppers delivery man taking one as payment for a pizza and a San Ignacio bank teller having one presented to him for change. In both cases the original presenter of the cash was identified and questioned by police. The serial numbers on the bills were AL063537 and A0578679. In related news, we made a slight error yesterday when we reported the discovery of a counterfeit blue note at the Belize Bank in Orange Walk. In fact the bad bill showed up at the bank’s northside branch in Belize City.
