ComPol Williams Participates in Jalsa Salama 2019
ComPol Chester Williams recently returned to Belize after spending a week in London for the 2019 Jalsa Salama, an annual gathering of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The event brings together thirty thousand participants from more than ninety countries to promote religious knowledge and promote a sense of peace in society. Williams participated after he was invited by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Belize. Commissioner Williams heard the words of His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and returned with the message of love and peace.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
“The message from his holiness is that as Ahmadiyya Muslims they need to promote peace across the world and work with different agencies to be able to ensure that we reach out to young people. He addressed the female Muslims who were there and he said to them that as parent s they have an obligation to ensure that they raise their children accordance to the teaching of God and ensure that they don’t get into crimes and other illegal activities. So I think that his message all in all was good and the motto was love for all and hatred for none which I think the world should be like. We are not supposed to hate each other; we suppose to learn to love each other.”
