Man Falls on Machete and Dies in St. Margaret Village

Police in the west are also investigating the circumstances leading to the death of an unidentified young man in Saint Margaret’s Village. The body of John Doe was found late on Thursday evening at a farm behind the village.  He was found with a large cut wound on the leg. Belmopan police are treating the matter as a death investigation as they believe that John Doe fell on his machete while chasing after a raccoon.

“From what we gathered is that the young man was at a farm and he was pursuing a raccoon and he may have fell. The machete he had stabbed him on the leg and may have cut the artery and because it was way in the bushes and he was trying to make his way out, he bled to death.”
