Dawn Sampson-Nunez is B.E.L.’s First In-house Legal Counsel

Dawn Sampson-Nunez has been synonymous with Belize Electricity Limited since taking up a job with the utility company in November 2000 as a public relations officer.  Tonight, the company announces that she takes up a new position as its first in-house legal counsel.  It is part of her new post as B.E.L.’s general manager of Legal and Corporate Services which includes Human Resources, Corporate Communications, Legal Affairs and Executive Services.  Sampson-Nunez has been called to the Bar in the UK after successfully completing a Post Graduate Diploma Bar professional training course at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom.  In July 2011, shortly after the Government of Belize assumed majority control of B.E.L., her responsibilities within the company expanded to manager, Corporate Services and Company Secretary.
