DJ Perf and Denzel Usher Charged with Rape

Devin “DJ Perf” Peyrefitte & Denzel Usher

Devin “DJ Perf” Peyrefitte and Denzel Usher have both been charged for the crime of rape.  The men stand accused of allegedly raping a woman in the wee hours of Monday morning, while at a social gathering at a residence in Belmopan.  The allegation is that the men had sexual intercourse with the woman against her will.  Peyrefitte and Usher were arraigned in the Belmopan Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday. They were remanded to the Belize Central Prison and are expected to be back in court in October.  The family of one of the accused is denying the allegations.  Today, ACP Joseph Myvett provided details of the case.

“Actually, I would think that that person would need to go to the law as to the definition of rape which is pretty much that is saying that the penetration of another persons’ mouth, vagina, or anus without their consent. It could be to the slightest degree of penetration. So obviously that person would need to refer to the law.”
