Will Emily Ico be Charged for the Killing of her Daughter?

Danielle Hall

A nine-year-old girl was killed inside her home in the village of Unitedville, Cayo. At the time of her killing, the other person in the house was her mother, Emily Ico. The death of the child is baffling police and it is yet to be determined if any charges will be levied against Ico for the death of her daughter.  According to a post mortem, Danielle Hall’s life was cut short by manual strangulation. Her body was discovered by her father on a bed while Ico was exhibiting peculiar behaviour, including talking in different languages, cursing, stomping and clapping.  At this time, investigators are putting together a file that will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecution for determination.  In the meantime, she remains heavily sedated and hospitalized under police guard. Late this evening when we spoke with Edwardo Ico, he said that he cannot accept that Emily killed his granddaughter.

On the Phone: Edwardo Ico, Grandfather of Deceased

“Well so far, it says that it is manual strangulation, but that noh means that it was really her. It could be that it was someone else do it and my daughter appeared at the same time. All those possible things could happen.”

“So it is possible that she wasn’t the one that did it?”

On the Phone: Edwardo Ico

“Well that dah weh I hope. I noh know who could the worst thing for my daughter and my granddaughter. All of that and I just can’t condemn my daughter like that.”

Duane Moody

“Do you think your daughter could have done something like this to her own daughter, her only child?”

On the Phone: Edwardo Ico

“Well everything is possible if she is not the same person that I raised and grow up so many years with me. Anything could happen and if she do it, I know she noh do it intentionally; she is not in her correct senses. All of that possible could happen.”
