Thieves in Belmopan Attempted to Hit Several Locations in Spate of Burglaries
A string of businesses in Belmopan was struck by thieves in the early hours of this morning. A construction site across from the National Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds, where work is being done to build a new showroom for Bravo Motors, was burglarized and an assortment of equipment was reportedly stolen from that location. Next, the thieves attempted to gain entrance to Femagra Industries where the security guard was held at gunpoint while the thieves pried open the door to the warehouse. But their attempt was futile. Despite their effort, the men could not break into the office building and made off empty-handed before reportedly firing a number of shots as they fled the scene. News Five understands that a third location was also hit during the early morning spree, but according to police, nothing was stolen from the Gas Tomza location in that vicinity.
