9 Persons are Arraigned for 89 Grams of Weed
Even as the law allows for a person to be in possession of up to ten grams of weed, a group of nine persons, including a theologist, were before the court on a drug trafficking charge for eighty-nine grams of cannabis. Victor Lara and his wife Brea Stanke, along with Alex Salazar, Sebastian Young, Marcus Nunez, Joslyn Daniels, Hilberto Hoare, Camille Bodden, Errol Sebastian were jointly charged with possession of a controled drug with intent to supply the small amount of weed. They all pleaded not guilty. Lara and Stanke were additionally charged with another count of possession of a controlled drug of eighty-five grams of cannabis. There were no objections to bail, which was offered in the sum of two thousand dollars plus one surety of the same amount which they were all able to meet by one p.m. today. At the biweekly press brief, Superintendent Alejandro Cowo shared the details of the bust which occurred on Wednesday in the Bay Side area of San Pedro Town.

“Police had conducted an operation there, somewhere in the bay Side area of San Pedro, they conducted a house search which was occupied by ten persons and as a result about eighty-nine grams of cannabis was found inside of the room. I believe that out of the ten persons, nine persons were arrested and charged for drug trafficking.”

“Was there any establishment of possible ownership of the area or who stays where the exact part of the house where the marijuana was found?”

“I believe that, what I know is that it was found in a room at the establishment where all the persons were arrested and charged were.”

“So it was communal; that location is communal?”

“Yes.”
The group is to return to court on October sixteenth, 2019 in San Pedro.
