George Galindo is charged for killing Nelson Flores and injuring his daughter
The Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams and his team were in San Ignacio today where a surge in violence has residents on edge. Earlier today, San Ignacio police arrested and charged a resident of Santa Elena for the murder of Nelson Flores and are looking for a second person. Today Officer Commanding the San Ignacio Police Formation, Superintendent Henry Jemmott, Commissioner Williams and members of the San Ignacio Police were conducting a meet and greet in the neighbourhood where Flores lived. He was killed on Sunday night in a gruesome attack upon his family inside his home. Three days later police have made an arrest and according to Superintendent Jemmott, the accused is a resident of the area.

“It was an intense investigation but we managed to get evidence against one person and that person has been charged already for murder. He has been charged for aggravated assault upon one of the occupants of the house and also attempted murder on the child that was shot. So we have a person in custody and has been charged for that offense.”

“I cannot state that at this point but I can tell you that the evidence that we have is critical of the person we have in custody.”

“Is the police looking any other person in reference to this case?

“Yes. We are still looking for the other person on the motorcycle who accompanied this person because the information was, two persons arrived on a motorcycle. So, we are investigating associates of this person to ascertain who that next person is.”
