Belizeans Living in Florida Brace for Hurricane Dorian
The Belize Consulate in Florida has issued a statement in respect to the approaching hurricane, Dorian. Hurricane Dorian gained strength in the Atlantic Wednesday night, and millions of people in Florida were warned to be ready for its impact. Dorian is expected to become a Category four storm before hitting Florida. The Belize Consulate advises Belizeans living there to take all the necessary precautions to be safe. Belizeans in Florida are asked to heed all warning signs especially if an evacuation is required. The storm is on track to make landfall early Monday as a powerful Category four hurricane – it could be the strongest direct hit to Florida’s east coast since Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
