Contestants Gearing up for Miss Universe Belize

A diverse group of strong and talented women are competing to wear the prestigious crown of the 2019 Miss Universe Belize. Their backgrounds are different and interesting, each of them holding a unique perspective on how to make a difference. This week, they have been undertaking a number of activities as the big day draws closer. We caught up with them at practice and a photo shoot. On Friday at the Civic Centre, the eight beauties will compete for the crown and get a chance to represent Belize at the Miss Universe Pageant. They will be performing a solo opening act and then proceed to compete in swimsuits and formal wear.  A panel of judges will also test their ability to think on their feet in the question and answer segment. The event starts at 8:30 P.M. and will be aired live on this station. Tickets are on sale at Pink Boutique in Belize City as well as at its branches in San Ignacio and San Pedro.
